West Australia Road Trip Adventure

Embarking on a road trip from Perth towards the north unveils a tapestry of natural wonders and diverse landscapes. The journey encompasses a series of breathtaking destinations, each offering a unique charm and memorable experiences.

Things to note

  • Vehicle selection better to choose at least medium size and 1.8cc for better support during uphill, overtaking and stability while huge vehicle passing from opposite, you don’t wanna to feel your car is fluttering.
  • “Flies Net” is important but not necessary when travelling toward North till Kalbari National Part, the flies is super annoying!! You gonna learn the new dancing style form there if you doesn’t have flies net.
  • Food & Beverage pricing is quite above average compare to Singapore, and majority of restraurant required to make reservation in advance if you wish to dine in/take away. p/s: ready cooked food from supermarket is really terrible taste (personaly feel)

Station 1: Perth City

First thing first to pick up the car after touch down at Perth International Airport, this is the “small” car I used for my entire journey.

Day 2: All the way to Kalbari

5 70km distance from Metro Hotel took us whole day to arrive Kalbarri Palm Resort for our 2nd night stay.

Lucky to grab a quite famous breakfast cafe in the town “LA Veen Cafe” before the long journey start, their wrap is really nice and coffee too.

Along the way not much scenary, but still able to catch few attraction.

Along the way not much scenary, but still able to catch few attraction.

By reaching the Kalbari Resort is almost 7pm, here giving me the similar feeling like Holiday Part in New Zealand

Forgot to took my dinner photo, not every restaurant here are available for walkin or takeaway it need to make reservation. By ordering a pasta and fish&chip meal cost AUD70++ this really surprise me.

See closely, hundred of thousand flies was killed by this car, and the interesting stuff is Bee got attracted by all these dead body

Day 3: Cervantas

Starting the day with good weather, but the flies still annoying. Early morning visited the Kalbari national part and very lucky to get the chance to see the wild life kangaroo.

Here is the important tips, net flies is important and super useful here when you are visitng Nature’s window, Pinnacle Dessert these 2 main attraction, or else you will be learning the waving dance here.

Fremantle Market, a indoor market place which only open 3 days a week (Friday – Sunday 9am-pm). This market might not be so special for asian people, but it might be the unique market for people who living around.

Tips:
Parking fee is quite expensive just infront the entrance , would suggest to park inside wilson parking it still within walking distance

If you are interested to buy macadamia from here is highly suggested as the price compare to perth would be much cheaper. For me I don’t buy anything from here, but feel quite interesting to visit such a indoor market.

Day 4: Busselton Jetty

The story of “Spirited Away” “千与千寻“, if you ever watched the animate you would definitely know the scene here. It is the longest timber-piled jetty in Southern Hemisphere at 1.8 kilometres long.

Return trip of the train will take around 45 minutes, you can either purchase for return/one way. The nice thing over there is the umbrella you can borrow from the jetty if you are walk  yourself to the other end of the jetty.

After Busselton Jetty, back to fremantle about evening time. Cicerello’s Fremantle look famous and quite popular here, unfortunately we seem like didn’t order the recommended food here, but for sure don’t order their oyster it just not worth the value.

You may also take a walk around the fremantle are to checkout some of their unique building structure and street design.
